Kingdom Partners

Ever found yourself caught in the fascinating cycle of debt forgiveness, only to realize how hard it is to pass that same grace forward? That's a story that recently hit me like a ton of bricks. It's about a man who was forgiven a massive debt, an amount he could never have hoped to repay in several lifetimes. You'd think such an overwhelming act of kindness would transform how he treated others, right? Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When the tables were turned, and he had the chance to forgive a much smaller debt owed to him, he chose anger and resentment instead. This scenario really got me thinking about the profound power of forgiveness and how it's easier to receive than to give.

This realization struck me during a song at church, a moment when the lyrics seemed to echo the depths of my soul. It wasn't about the physical act of worship, but where my heart was in that moment. It was a stark reminder of the immense rescue mission I was a part of—not because of anything I had done, but solely because of God's grace. Sometimes, we fool ourselves into thinking we're partners with God in this journey of salvation, but in reality, it's His work from start to finish. Yet, He invites us to join Him in the transformational work of His kingdom, and that's a calling too significant to ignore.

I've often pondered why it seems hard for many of us, myself included, to fully grasp God's love and our rightful place in His kingdom. It's not about our own righteousness but about the righteousness He bestows upon us, making us worthy of being part of His family. If we could all deeply understand and never get over this truth, imagine the impact it would have not just on our community but potentially on the world.

Take, for example, the extraordinary movement of God happening in places like Uganda, a testament to the power of genuine faith and love in action. It's a reminder that the essence of being known as children of God doesn't lie in our outward piety or knowledge but in our ability to love as He loves.

Sharing about the journey of joining and growing within a church family like Multiply Church, I've been reminded of the power of community and genuine relationships. From our first visit, encouraged by friends, to the deep connections formed through community groups, it's clear that God uses these relationships to shape us and point us toward Him. It's about more than just attending church; it's about engaging with a family that seeks to embody Christ's love in every interaction.

The adventure of faith isn't a solo mission. It's about partnering with God in His kingdom work, making disciples, and living out the teachings of Jesus. It's a journey marked by love, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to follow wherever He leads. This isn't a call to perfection but to a sincere pursuit of God's kingdom here on earth, transforming our lives and those around us through the power of His love and grace.

Will we be content with merely being followers, or will we embrace the call to be disciple-makers, actively participating in the spread of the gospel? It's a question that demands not just contemplation but action. The path of discipleship is not for the faint of heart, but it's the most rewarding journey we could ever embark on, filled with the potential to change lives, communities, and ultimately, the world, for His glory.
